Using advanced Q-Switched Nd laser technology, the UltraLUX PRO targets tattoo ink with high-intensity pulses of light. The laser energy breaks the ink into tiny particles, allowing your body's natural immune system to gradually eliminate them over time. This process fades the tattoo with each treatment while minimising damage to the surrounding skin.

How Does Laser Tattoo Removal Work?

The UltraLUX PRO delivers precise laser energy that is selectively absorbed by tattoo pigment. Once the pigment is shattered into microscopic particles, your body's lymphatic system naturally removes the fragmented ink over the following weeks.

Different wavelengths are used to target different ink colours, making the treatment suitable for a wide range of tattoos. The UltraLUX PRO's optional Q-Switched Nd system operates at 1064nm and 532nm, allowing treatment of many common tattoo pigments.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

Most tattoos require 6–12 treatment sessions, although some may need fewer or more depending on:

  • Your body's healing response

Treatments are typically spaced 6–10 weeks apart to allow your body time to naturally remove the fragmented ink before the next session.

Is Laser Tattoo Removal Painful?

Most clients describe the sensation as similar to the snap of a rubber band against the skin.

Treatment times are generally quite short, ranging from just a few minutes for small tattoos to around 30 minutes for larger pieces. Cooling technology helps improve comfort during treatment.

After Your Treatment

Following treatment you may experience:

  • Mild redness
  • Swelling
  • Temporary whitening ("frosting")
  • Slight tenderness

These are normal responses and generally settle within a few days.

To support healing we recommend:

  • Keeping the area clean and dry
  • Avoiding swimming and excessive sweating for 24–48 hours
  • Avoiding direct sun exposure
  • Applying aftercare products as recommended by your therapist
  • Never picking at any scabs or blisters
